The International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) has elected Dr. Samuel Ejezie of the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of Port Harcourt as ISSMGE Regional Vice-President for Africa for the term 2009 - 2013.

All suitably qualified candidates intending to apply for admission into the Basic Studies Programme of the University of Port Harcourt for the 2008/2009 academic session are by this notice informed that the closing date for sale of application forms has been shifted from 3rd of January, 2009 to the 17th of January, 2009.
Consequently, the screening exercise, earlier scheduled to hold on the 10th of January, 2009, will now take place on the 24th of January, 2009.
